LEARN THE CROSS–EYE METHOD

The cross-eyed method can be used on stereoscopic pictures where the left image is on the right side and vice versa. It requires no 3D glasses or gear, only the desire to learn. This is one way to do it:

  1. Eat the mushroom, open your mind.

  2. Look at what looks like two identical images.

  3. Cross your eyes. A third image should appear in the middle. If you see 4 images, you'll have to relax your eyes and cross them less.

  4. Focus on that middle image until it pops out in 3D.

A FEW POINTERS

  • It may take time to master the technique, but once you get it, it will only take seconds to focus and experience a crystal clear 3D image.

  • A large image could cause strain to the eyes. The smaller the image, the less you need to cross your eyes. You can also move further away from the screen if the image is large. Don't over exert your eyes and take a break if it takes a while to get right.

  • If one image seems to be above or below the other one, try to tilt your head a little bit to make sure the image is aligned with your eyes (horizontal). You can also focus on the top edge of the images and tilt your head until they merge.

  • Try to avoid a glare on your screen.

  • Most people can do this but it's not for everyone. For example, impaired vision on one eye might might decrease the 3D effect.

  • When you've mastered this technique, you can try the free-view technique for images where the right-eye image is on the right side and vice versa.

TRY THESE CROSS–EYE IMAGES

Once you've focused your eyes on the first one, you don't need to refocus on each image.  Just keep the focus and scroll down to the next image to see it instantly in 3D. 

The images were captured with a normal camera using Kúla's 3D lens Kúla Deeper which is hyperstereoscopic, meaning you'll perceive stronger 3D effect than normally.
